Black Sun: Gothic celestial wolf pendant - wire wrapped in copper and Swarovski crystals, with a halo of Blue Goldstone dark "rays" and spikes.

BLUE SANDSTONE also known as Blue Goldstone is an intense dark Prussian blue, with tiny glittering white flecks that catch and reflect the light like twinkling stars.

The effect is like a starry night sky, or glitter nail varnish..

(I drew heavily from my personal interests in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Ancient Greece and Maths - mixed with the wonderful symbolism and art used to represent these concepts over the centuries.

Interpret as ye will - for me the concentric layers invoke the fixed "heavenly spheres" of medieval manuscripts and astronomical models/orreries, of planetary orbits around a star or the structure of the atom: a motif that transcends spatial scale, art, science, culture and Time. The rays as lines of force/gravity.

A wolf at the centre? A play on the concept of a Black hole - a carnivorous Dark Star that exudes an immense gravitational field and rips apart the fabric of SpaceTime- with Fenrir the wolf, devouring the Sun - the start of Ragnarok and the end of the world.)


The central wolf is made of Sodalite stone - a rich marbled blue with milky white veins and orange on his ears - a nebula with new stars forming.

He is embedded within a lattice of wire wrapped copped and genuine Swarovski® crystals in dark indigo blue, woven together with rose and leaf charms (representing regeneration in Nature, new life, exploding nebulae seeding new Elements into the Universe)

Above, a single star in haematite (ironstone) topped with a crown surrounding a large Blue Goldstone bead (the celestial sphere/known universe).

Below, a halo of Blue Goldstone stellar rays, and four metal spikes - representing Dark Matter and energy - the four known Fundamental Forces: gravitational, Electromagnetic, the Strong and the Weak Nuclear. Or the four Elements of Tao and Greek philosophy: Earth, Air, Fire and Water.

Suspended from an extra-long copper chain, the design is meant to be worn at lower chest/Solar Plexus level. Fastens with a lobster clasp, and is adjustable.
