Opalite (also known as Sea Opal or opalised glass) is a man-made gemstone known for it's striking appearance - it fluoresces with a pale blue and orange glow in daylight, and intensely under UV light.

For those of metaphysical beliefs, this stone is associated with the Third Eye Chakra, communication, healing, and believed to have powerful calming properties for depression and anxiety. (Does it work? Maybe. It's certainly beautiful, soothing and stress-relieving to play with my opalite jewelry in the light).
